The forecast was looking good again for last night, so I decided to change the 8inch RC telescope for the smaller 72mm William Optics Megrez so as to have a wider field of view. I also dropped my usual 5 minute exposures for 3 minute ones as the megrez has a faster optical system, f6 compared to the 8inch RC’s f8. This means I can get more exposures in a shorter time, and just as well because it clouded over 2 hours later, in that time I had captured 24 Ha light frames for stacking ( more than enough ), again IC1318, the nebulous region around Gamma Cygni or Sadr was the target.
This little scope is well suited for the ZWO asi1600mm Pro mono camera together with an Astro-tech field flattener.
